Bologna is one of the fine cities of Italy, very much worth a visit. Originally founded by the Etruscan so it has a long history and there’s a lot of monuments, palaces and churches to see. You can   start by visiting Piazza Nettuno, famous for the magnificent fountain, then proceed through Piazza Maggiore to visit the Basilica of San Petronio and its sundial, the largest in the world. The Basilica of San Petronio is the most important and imposing church in Bologna as well as being the fifth largest church in the world. The construction work on the Basilica began in 1390 but went on for century. You can continue to the Sala Borsa and the Archiginnasio library, up to the Due Torri. The two most important towers are the Asinelli and the Garisenda towers.

After the visit, drive to Venice and drop off at your hotel.
