Your full day itinerary starts with a pick-up from your accommodation in Rome by your cheerful and experienced driver-guide. Having a local by your side is undoubtedly the best way to experience a new place and our drivers know Rome like the back of their hand. We’ll start our day with an interesting visit to the ancient part of the city. Walk on the original cobblestone streets and learn about the life of the ancient Romans. You will get privileged access to the Colosseum then we would have a great panoramic view for the Roman Forum, Palatine Hill and of course circus Maximus where the famous movie ‘’ Ben Hur ‘’ has been shot, then we’ll continue to visit the beautiful Trevi fountain, the Spanish steps, the Pantheon and more. At every stop, your driver guide will provide interesting commentary about the monument in front of you. After this first part of our day we would stop for lunch and your driver will give you some suggestion to enjoy a typical Italian meal in a local restaurant.
After lunch we’ll continue to visit the Vatican State (you don’t need passport to enter), we enter the Vatican museums with privileged access (no wait in line), and we choose the afternoon as it is generally less crowded. The visit to the Vatican museum would cover the most important galleries such as the Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapestries, the Raphael Rooms and of course, the Sistine Chapel. Enjoy all the beautiful pieces and let your guide entertain you with delightful stories about the Popes, Cardinals and the artists that worked under them. The tour ends with a visit to Saint Peter’s Basilica, where you will admire Michelangelo’s Pietà, the Bernini Baldacchino and a great panoramic view of the piazza in front of the basilica, the blessing balcony and the papal residence.
